Champion Courts Warranty

  • If you hired Champion Courts for a full court build, we warranty all aspects of the project:

Concrete: We guarantee the concrete to be free of cracking (>.5mm), pitting, or deterioration for a period of 1 year for conventional slabs or 3 years for post-tension slabs.
Court Surface: We guarantee the court surface to be free of cracking*, bubbling, and chipping for the period of 1 year.
Lighting: We guarantee the lighting and corresponding electrical to be free of issues for a period of 3 years.
    Fencing:
We guarantee the fence to remain plumb and flush for a period of 6 months. It is the customer's responsibility to prevent ground erosion to ensure poles and anchors do not shift over time. If there is any evidence of the fence being climbed on, hit by body or vehicle, or bent by other means, they warranty claim may be denied.
    Other Equipment:
Nets, Hoops, and other play equipment are warrantied by the manufacturers and may vary. Champion Courts will assist with filing such warranties at the customer’s request.

*If your concrete slab is conventional concrete (not post-tension), there can be slight uplift or cracking along the expansion joints from the expansion joints doing their job. Micro-cracks along those joints is not considered “cracking” under this warranty. We do our best to prevent these cracks by installing vapor barrier underneath the slab and compacting the ground as much as possible.

Champion Courts reserves the right to repair warranty claims in a manner they see fit. Industry standards will be applied and commercially reasonable effort will be made to remedy any claims. By no means may the Customer dictate exactly what the remedy must be.
Typical remedy for concrete cracks will be to patch, fill, and resurface the cracked area.

  • If you hired Champion Courts to surface your existing concrete or to resurface an existing court, we guarantee the court surface and lines to be free of cracking*, bubbling, and chipping for the period of 1 year.
We do not warranty the underlying concrete.

    * If your court is conventional concrete, there can be slight uplift or cracking along the expansion joints from the expansion joints doing their job. Micro-cracks along those joints is not considered “cracking” under this warranty.
Cracking along existing or new cracks in your concrete are also not covered under this warranty (unless Champion Courts poured your concrete).

NOTE: If your concrete was installed without a vapor barrier or without sufficient ground compaction and gravel, you are at greater risk of the expansion joints cracking. You can reduce the risk of cracking by ensuring proper drainage around your court. Do not let your home’s downspouts drain onto your court. Do not let your sprinklers spray on or near your court. Water is the number one reason for concrete pads to shift.
